Cloud 23

Yesterday I went to Cloud 23.  It’s a tres trendy cocktail bar at the Hilton in the city centre.  It was very shhhhwanky.  The drinks were fab, the views amazing and the prices STEEP!!  Apparently you could get a bottle of champagne for 2,000GBP.  I didn’t see it on the menu as I was focused on what I could afford!!  Victoria turned 30 (she’s the one w/ the shorter blond hair and the pewterish color top).

It was a great idea and I’m soo glad she wanted to go there as I don’t think I would go on my own.  Thanks Victoria for including me!!  Afterwards we went to MOJO for a few more (affordable) drinks.  I ended up leaving a early w/ Byrney who was catching the last train back into our neck of the woods.  I didn’t have a clue where I was and needed to follow them so I could take the bus home.  Have I mentioned how much I love living in a city and the great public transportation!

Today I went to a new toddler group.  I was VERY disappointed by it.  It was filled with disinterested moms/carers and nasty naughty children.  When a four year old snatched a toy out of Squidges hand and pushed her to the ground I ALMOST got up and beat the crap out of her.  At FOUR you know better and should be able to share.  When she put her face right up into Squidges face and began to tell her she was a stupid baby and she couldn’t play with her toys I had enough and left.

Squidge decided that she wanted to wear her tutu so her dad helped her put it on- she’s a silly little girl.

I’m thinking about baking bread.  I’ll wait for Wendy to stop laughing… okaaay then, Squidge was ‘helping’ me look through one of my cookbooks.

This one I just like so I’m including…

I’m off to Porto tomorrow so I probably won’t be blogging again until Monday night/ Tuesday morning.  I hope everyone has a great time.

Lindy, I’m definitely NOT laughing!!! I am quite impressed with the development of culinary skills on your part. You know there’s a downside to your being such a great cook….. I’m volunteering you to do all the cooking when we’re down the Cape this summer 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hope you are having/had a good time.
Yes those prices were a little steep weren’t they? But its one of those places you have to visit and it was briliant, a place to return to for a special occasion!

I hate toddler groups like that. I would have had to say something. Little git. When Miss M had her Nursery visit a week or so ago, a bigger kid called her a baby. She looked so sad. Grrrrr,
