Kneading a change

This afternoon in an effort to shake myself out of this mummy guilt induced funk I decided to do a little baking.

I find baking comforting and soothing.  I enjoy fiddling around and having Squidge helping me.  It really is one of the best things about being a Mom.  One of those hokey and stereotypically June Cleaver experiences.

Squidge really got into it.  Kneading the bread,

gathering it together and rolling it into a ball.

The smell of bread baking is one of the best smells around.  It’ right up there with freshly washed baby.  Sorry, no photos of the finished product.  We ate it too quickly, as usual!!

Wow that is brilliant. I love how she is all in focus and the background isn’t, that looks great. I have never baked bread. I must.
