the one with the tears

Do you see that photo below? That is Squidge at the Didsbury Festival a couple of weekends ago. I encouraged her to go stand in front of the band and to dance.  I would love for my baby girl to express herself, to not have any inhibitions- to just dance when she wants to.  She was the only one that did.  I was a bit surprised that none of the other children got up to dance- aah well their loss!  I stood off to the side and cried- big ugly tears.  I’m not really sure why I was crying.  Maybe because she’s such a big girl and soo fearless so damn cute and she just made me happy.

The singer asked her to come up and gave her the tambourine to play with and well that just made me cry some more.  Silly mama!

We also played some games and cuddled some bears and went on some rides.  I’m loving the English summer and soaking up every last minute of it as I know it will be gone too soon.

My daughter is so shy but can be so cute when she isn’t. She would go and dance, but only if somebody else go first

Awww, that’s fabulous. My older two were always too shy to do such things, but the wee man would have been dancing away right alongside her.

    She has a beautiful smile.
I used to be very shy and still get bouts of it now. At least my job makes me tackle it.
