you say reclamation I say salvage…lets call the whole thing off.

We’ve been visiting a few salvage yards looking for inspiration for the house.

Beeston Reclamation

Beeston Reclamation was lovely and I can’t wait to go back.  It’s nestled at the foot of a little mound that I think they call Beeston Castle.  Now don’t quote me on this as I’m probably completely wrong.  The atmosphere was fantastic, we could hear an auction going on in the distance.  At first it thought it was a call to prayer but considering we were in the middle of Cheshire this seemed a little bit odd.  Wal finally set me straight and laughed his ass off at what I thought it was.

This was the best dog ever and I’m now on the look out for one of my very own!

We have a couple more places to go to and I can’t wait.  It’s lovely to see things being reused, re-purposed and knowing that you can get something that is just a little bit funky.  If you want to look at more photos you can see the complete set on my Flickr page.

Oooo love those places!! We found a cool door that someone dumped in our skip :-)! Its loads better than ours and solid too, and since it was free we’re having a stained glass panel made to match our windows!!

Oh lucky you! We’re on the look out for a front door to replace our ugly glass monstrosity! We’re getting coloured glass panels put on the side panels and the panel over the front door- like this . Only difference is we only have one long glass panel over the top, the side glass is bigger and no writing.
