Girls rock!

A few weeks ago we went to the local Scouts Ram Roast.  One of the only things Squidge wanted to do was the rock climb.

I was a little bit skeptical, she’s a little young but thought I’d let her at least try.  It was one of those proud mama moments.  She did so well and although at one point she was so scared she was shaking she never.gave.up!

She tried her heart out and although she didn’t make it to the very top she didn’t cry.  There were older boys crying and wanting to get down but not my girl. When she got down I told her how proud I was of her.  Told her she totally kicked ass! LOL yes.I.did.  The words just came out and we all just laughed. I love that my little girl gives it her all. That even when she’s scared she doesn’t give in to the fear. Long may it last. My wish for her is that she always gives it her all and never gives in to fear.

We rode our bikes to the park. I’m totally loving the tow bar as we can go places I wouldn’t dream of going before. She was attached to my bike as we rode through the village. A very busy road especially on a Saturday afternoon. We got a few looks and Squidge just loved it. After bouncing on some castles, eating some hot dogs and having a thoroughly good time we headed home- happy.

I love the fact that my boys too feel the fear and carry on regardless.
