What did we do before the internet? It really is difficult to grasp just how much the internet has changed things. If I need to know something I’ll google it. If I hear a bit of news and want to know more I’ll pull up the NY Times or NPR or any number of newspapers. Then there are the really practical things. How to get ink out of a shirt? Learn how to fishtail braid hair? Why just look it up on t’interet
Now most of you probably don’t understand how monumental this photograph is. I barely know how to do a plain bog standard braid. French braids still pose too much of a challenge for me. This morning I googled “how to fishtail braid hair” and got a really easy nifty little video tutorial- thanks Video Jug! I was much more excited about the success of the braid than Squidge was. So tell me, what did the braid challenged people do before the internet came along?
Squidge was very pleased with her new hair style and pretended she was a fish all morning. I was a little worried that the style wasn’t going to make it the entire day, it looked really really delicate. It did and it made it through 2 hours of dance classes after school as well. A pretty robust little braid.
