Weight Watchers Wednesday

Week 17. Weight lost this week: –2.5 Weight loss in total 18.5

What a crazy week I had. This Weight Watcher’s malarky is really doing my head in!  I had a couple of very bad days. It was that time of the month, Wal was away, I just felt like eating chinese take-away one day.  I couldn’t stop myself from eating sticky toffee pudding cake from Costco…in the car…alone…like some addict!  So as you can imagine I wasn’t feeling too optimistic as I walked into the meeting this morning.  Oh I forgot to mention that I met some friends for lunch and had a to die for Thai chicken salad, a glass of white wine and finished it off w/ a warm brownie and ice cream.  I’m still dreaming of that salad so although I pointed it out once I got home and it was relatively low points (it was a soy sauce based dressing) I was expecting the worse results when I stepped on the scales.  As Shirley (my WW leader) said later my excuses started at the door and just got bigger and bigger!!  Imagine my shock when she told me I lost 2.5 lbs!! WTH!! How can that be possible? The only thing I can figure out is that because of my 2 bad days I tried to compensate the other days.  On the day I have the sticky toffee pudding cake I didn’t eat a big lunch, just some veg and dinner was rice and veg so although I did go over that day it wasn’t a huge amount.

I think I’m finally getting to understand Weight Watchers a bit more. If I do have a bad day I just need to do well the other days.  I can eat anything I want just not on the same day on the same plate.  Slowly slowly I’m getting there.  I’m happy for the big (for me) loss but would prefer not to beat myself up for 7 days to get it!  My Weight Watchers goal for this week is to try try try to stay within my 29 daily pro points so that I don’t beat myself up all week.

    I try to always make it to the meeting if for no other reason than to put me out of my misery one way or the other. I tend to beat myself up all week so I don’t think I could handle not knowing.

    I’m doing slimming world, been losing consistently each week but very slowly. I didn’t do anything different this week and lost 4lb (WTF). I’m 12 lb lighter after 7 weeks, it doesn’t feel much like a diet at this stage and a bit too good to be true. The real test will be the fact we are off with E for a few days at half term. I can already feel my willpower ebbing away.

      I’m finding WW to be pretty easy considering it’s a diet! Went out for a curry tonight and will have a low point day tomorrow to make up for it. I’ve lost 19 1/2 in 18 weeks so am pleased. Another 45 to go!!
