Just kidding! I’m always very weary of making sweeping changes or statements at the beginning of a new year. One reason is that I am essentially very lazy and I know that I’m going to forget what my resolution was and then I’ll just feel like a failure. One thing I do end up doing is feeling like I need to change my diet. After a couple of weeks of eating all the rich Christmas foods the feeling that I’m a bloated mass of mince pies and turkey is overwhelming!
In comes January and I have a good old clean out of the kitchen cupboards and out goes all the foods I don’t usually have in my diet. It’s my way of reminding myself that I need to eat delicious wholesome foods. It’s also the season for soups- is there anything nicer that a warming bowl of soup when it’s cold and dark out? I love to have some in the fridge ready for a nutritious and quick meal. I do try to make my own soup but honestly I’m more likely to pick up some Glorious Skinnylicious soup as it’s delicious and low in calories- It’s only 3 smartpoints for 1/2 pot of the New England Butternut Squash soup. One of the best things about the range of soups is that you can see all the nutritional value of the soups on the website and that’s a great help when your trying to track!
The soup is just perfect for lunch. What is your favourite flavour? Do you have any tips for healthy eating?
