Decorating w/ Posters

As I’ve said before I’m a big fan of quirky! You can read that anyway you like- but I’m much more likely to pick someone up secondhand at a charity shop than I am to hit a high street shop when I’m thinking about decorating. Having said all that, it doesn’t mean that I can’t find quirky when buying new/retail.

We recently redecorated out back reception room and turned it into a bit of a music room. I looked around one day and saw the piano and a couple of guitars, bongos and other random musical instruments all over the house. BRAIN WAVE I thought why don’t I move them all into the back reception room and call it the music room? So that’s what I did! Moved the piano into that room and I picked up a couple of those guitar hooks and a music room was born!

Now it’s time to think about what I put on the walls. I have been collecting a few quirky things for the walls in that room but now that it’s more of a music room I thought some music or film artwork would look great in there.  A quick search led me to King & Mcgaw website where I found some prints that would be perfect.

The vintage film posters are fab and I can see a collection building there.

I also thought that some musical prints would look great in there.  A quick look at the King & Mcgaw site and I found these fab black & white prints.  Having these on the wall along with the guitars- I know right amazing!  Best part about it that the prints aren’t very expensive- £15.95 for the Lennon print.

I’ll be taking some pictures of the room as soon as my prints arrive so watch this space!
