I started my blog TEN years ago!! I find that hard to believe and yet it feels like only yesterday when I decided it would be easier to just write about what was going on in my life and have a place where my family could stop by. Over the last decade this blog has morphed and changed and I know it will continue to do that, as I have changed so has my blog. To celebrate my decade of blogging I’ll be running some giveaways to say thank you for stopping by.
My purse (or wallet if you’re reading this from across the pond) broke the other week. It was like a death in the family! I’d had this purse for almost 7 years and it was old and faded but all my stuff fit and I knew where everything was, including the marble I always carry around with me for good luck- if I have it I haven’t lost my marbles! My old purse fit like a pair of gloves or comfy shoes.
A purse is a pretty personal thing isn’t is? Well for me it is. I have some small ones I use for nights out like a lot of folks I think. Off I went to find a new purse and WOWZER are there some ugly purses out there! Sorry but there are! Also how can you manage with only 6 card slots? Am I a weirdo who needs at least double that but without the purse looking like carry-on luggage?
I bought a lot of purses and returned them. I’d bring them home, transfer all you cards to the new purse then realise there weren’t enough card slots (only did that once!) & if there were that I couldn’t actually close the blooming thing- bad design!
I finally found the PERFECT purse!
The Dune Kandice Foldover purse. It’s a slim purse and it comes w/ a removable card holder so you don’t have to pull out all the cards every time you use your purse. I’m put all the cards I need to carry around with me but don’t use regularly. In the actual purse itself there are 6 card slots.
I loved it so much I bought 2 and am giving one away!
Here’s your chance to win your very own Dune Kandice Foldover purse!
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is comment on this post telling me what’s the oddest thing you carry around in your purse. Then complete the Gleam competition widget (bonus entries are available)

After the 3rd time of sending back and a different one coming back out I got my friend to talk to my dad and shoved the steak into my purse.
